Triplet Nails: Sugar Spun Nails

It's been six month since we've teamed up, but today I've got another instalment of triplet nails with Madison from Fundamentally Flawless and Lauren from The Naily Mail.  These lovely girls are my oldest blogging friends and it's always great to come up with ideas with them.  We love trying out techniques that we haven't tried before and this time around we picked the Sugar Spun technique.

I decided to go with a white base and then did an ombré effect using China Glaze Frostbite, OPI Do You Have This Colour In Stock-Holm, and China Glaze Traffic Jam.

I had a few problems first of all trying this out because I couldn't get my polish to create the effect, but I don't think I had left it long enough to become a bit gloopy.  I used a medium sized dotting tool to pull the polish over my nails which is what I think gave me chunkier lines.

Madison went for a rainbow of Models Own polishes over a white base which looks great.

As you can see Madison's lines are a little bit thinner than mine, and I love that it has meant that she has been able to fit more colours in her ombré.

Lauren also went for a white base with Barry M Gelly's in Pomegranate and Guava.

I love that Lauren spun her colours all over her nails, it's a really different look to my more uniformed stripes of colours.

I always think it's great that we manage to come up with such different looks without even talking about our ideas beforehand.

Make sure you click on the pictures above to take you to Madison and Lauren's posts.  What technique should we try next time?
