*Press sample - sent to me for review
I showed a quick sneaky peak over on Instagram of the beauties I got sent, but in case you didn't see I have Elizabeth Street (grey), Alpha Place (blue), and Lavender Court (purple).
It was really difficult to pick which colours to review as they are all so pretty, but I am very happy with the ones I ended up with.
First up I have Elizabeth Street
When I chose this one, I thought it would be a nice addition to my collection, but I had wondered what could be different about a grey. I was really pleasantly surprised; It's actually a really beautiful grey with purple undertones. I found myself taking glances at it every now and again because it's just got that something a little bit extra. My swatch shows two coats with a top coat. It was a bit streaky on first coat, but smoothed over with a second coat.
Next I have Alpha Place
I thought this was going to be my favourite out of the three colours I got, but this one is a bit of a conundrum for me, only because it changed shades with a top coat. My swatch shows two coats with a top coat which is a stunning bright inky blue, but originally it was a more of a denim blue. To compare I took a picture of both hands together, one with a topcoat and one without.
I'm sorry for the odd hand pose for this picture but I had to use the timer on my camera as I was by myself and every other hand pose I tried looked even more odd. You can see Alpha Place with a top coat on the left and without on the right. It's only a very subtle difference in the picture, but it was more noticeable in real life.
Last but not least I have Lavender Court
I have a lot of purples in my nail polish collection, but this is very different. It's a dark lavender with grey tones, which is just perfect for Autumn. I could have left it with just one coat as it was opaque, but the second coat intensified the colour and smoothed out imperfections of my nails that showed through. This is by far my favourite of the three.
Overall
Jacava boast a 9 free vegan friendly formula which is just brilliant as you know you're not adding chemicals over your nails. The polishes are very rich in colour and the formula is smooth and long lasting. Their bottles feature a long gold lid which make painting very easy and comfortable and give a luxurious feel to the brand. I didn't find the finish of these shades as glossy as some others from Jacava that I have reviewed before (you can see them here and here), but I adore these additions to their range.
