Christmas Tree Nails with Born Pretty Store Nail Stud Review*

Hello all,

It's nearly here, only three more sleeps!  With that in mind, it seemed like a really good time to do some more Christmas nails.  I decided to go with cute and colourful Christmas trees featuring gold and neon nail studs from Born Pretty Store.

For this Christmas design I started with a base of Snow White from Models Own and topped that with a coat of Collection Top Coat Sparkle.  I left this to dry over night so I wouldn't ruin the base that I had just done.

The next step was to add the trees.  I used masking tape to create the triangle on each nail and then small strips of nail tape to make negative spaces for tinsel.  This did get very fiddly so I would suggest that you do one nail at a time if you have a go at this.  I painted on a thick coat of Essence Roller Coater and then pealed off all the tape before the nail polish had dried. Ta-dah!

When I was asked to review items from the Born Pretty Store  I had only one problem, which things to choose.  I finally decided on these gold and silver studs and these neon studs.

The studs come in these handy wheels so you can find the exact stud you want when needed without having to sort them all out first.  It also makes them really handy to store.

The neon studs come in a wheel of 300 pieces for $4.59^.  There are six different colours; green, blue, yellow, purple, pink, and orange.  They also come in two different shapes; left and square.

The gold a silver studs come in a wheel of 400 pieced for $3.31^^.  There are six different sized round studs in both gold and silver.

To decorate my Christmas trees I used a gold stud at the top of each one for a star.  I chose the second smallest size in the wheel.  They have a flat back so stick really easily to the nail in either wet top coat or by using a small dab of nail glue.  I then used 3-4 of the mini squares from the neon wheel for baubles.  The backs of the squares are almost flat, but there is a slight inward curve.  This helps the squares sit flush to the nails as they don't sit proud of the natural curve of your nail.

Overall I am thrilled with how my trees turned out and they look super festive ready for the big day!
